Leading Middle Schoolers to Leadership

In my 7th & 8th grade online leadership class, we’re discussing different public officials responses to the coronavirus. We have open and frank conversations about what we like and don’t like about each decision. Someone can be a great leader and make a bad decision. You can oppose a majority of someone’s decisions and still give them credit for the one’s (or parts) they get right. My students from other states have been impressed by Governor Devine’s leadership. I can’t wait to continue the discussion tomorrow. We have some incredible leaders growing up in this country that our watching how we handle tough situations. What an important time to take advantage of an opportunity to shape their hearts.
